An alumnus to Puyallup Washington Butler was interested in the arts when she was growing in her teens. The choir she sang in was entered into performances in singing contests, and was a part of high school and community theatre. When she moved to Los Angeles, she studied theatre in the University of Southern California and was Belle the Princess of Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland for a year and a quarter. Butler began the filming of The Stranger Within (a psychological thriller) in Mallorca Spain together with Estella Ward and William Baldwin back in November 2011. The film will also be made at Copenhagen Denmark as well as New York City. In June 2012, she joined Michael Biehn in the Los Angeles shooting of Treachery. Butler also co-starred alongside Michael Welch in 2013's horror film The Demented.
