Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 1960) was an American actress. Known for her work in television and in film in the 1980s, she's won numerous awards such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett, who was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth in New York New York, is a well-known actress. Bassett along with her sister aged five, old, moved out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with the mother of their divorced father. Bassett when she was in high school watched John Steinbeck's stage play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. When she graduated at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with a Bachelor's Degree in African American Studies, she continued to pursue a Master's Degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda for the action film, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
